From the film footage you can tell the Elephant mother was upset and try as she might she could not pull her baby out of the man made pond.
The elephant was left stranded, her mother's trunk was too slippery and not strong enough to lift the baby out and its short legs meant it could not hop out of the shallow ditch in the Kenyan outback.
But suddenly, a helicopter approaches in the sky above, the dirt it kicked up made the mother even more upset and it seemed the copters arrival only made the situation worse for the mother Elephant and her calf.
For the baby it was only a matter of time before predators would arrive on the scene or she could starve to death, however you looked at it, things looked bleak and the Poor mother elephant must have been beside herself with no way of rescuing her little baby.
But the helicopter took a different path so it would not kick up so much dust and debris and landed a few hundred feet from the trapped baby.
A rescue team from the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust emerged from the helicopter and sprinted over to the stricken youngster.
They jump into the watering hole and gently roll the elephant out of the pond, it may have been a little undignified for a moment but I am sure the baby got over it quickly when she was back onto her feet.
I am sure she was a little more than shocked by what had just happened, and the scared little baby ran to her loving mom as fast as she could.
As the baby and her over joyed mom come together, in the sweetest moment ever, the baby and mother kiss with their trunks and the little one rubs against her mom, comforted by her touch.
Sometimes life is good and this is one of those moments where the world doesn't seem so cruel.
