In Kerala India two Mahouts escorting their elephant, were suddenly attacked leaving one man dead.
In Thiruvananthapuram (or Trivandrum) the capital of the southern Indian state of Kerala, two mahouts escorting their elephant for a nearby temple festival at Parassala, had no warning when the elephant suddenly attacked them.
Grabbing one of the mahout 's with its trunk, the elephant lifted him high in the air before slamming the mahout's body onto the road. The other mahout was able to escape the elephant's rampage by climbing a nearby palm tree.
Police said the mahout succumbed to his injuries before reaching hospital.
