Cats are not Vegan
Cats Are Meat Eaters. A Cat Is A Carnivore, They Need Meat Or They Die... It's As Simple As That.
If Anyone, Such As VeganCats.Com, Tell You Anything Different, Than They Are Accomplices In Your Cat's Murder.
People make decisions about going Vegan based on their beliefs and backgrounds and we at Wildlife Planet praise you for your choice but, it is your choice. For some people, these beliefs are being forced onto your dogs and cats, this is wrong and Wildlife Planet begs you to stop it, immediately.
A Cat is a carnivore, They need meat or they die... It's as simple as that.f anyone, such as the morons running VeganCats.com tell you anything different than they are accomplices in your cat's murder.
Humans are omnivores so we can go meatless without any real side effects, Cats cannot accomplish this feat and that is why they are called carnivores. Cats need, among other things from meat, a protein called Taurine and the best way to get it is through meat products. No amount of tofu or non-meat products will supply your cat with this protein.
Some will say that you can give cats supplements or watch their acid intact, but very few realize how much work that involves. Most people can't even keep their pool's pH level steady and now these same people think they will put in an incredible amount of time and effort into keeping fluffy's levels steady?
Without Taurine, your cat will develop urinary tract infections, cardiovascular disease, and even blindness. In order to keep a cat or dog on a vegan diet everything in your cat's diet will have to be monitored, adjusted and kept track of. Then there is the additional cost of extra veterinary visits because without a doubt your pet will develop dental problems because of it's forced Veganism.
Vegans are caring people and part of their DNA will not accept the killing of animals, even for food, but please, stop trying to force your Veganism onto your pets. Cats DNA is basically designed to be a meat eating, killing the machine.
Cats (Carnivores) and humans (omnivores) are not similar and you cannot force your cat to be a vegan, we do however share one quality, we kill for the fun of it.
So you be Human - Let your cat be a cat and that means feeding your cat meat. If your beliefs won't allow it, then please find someone who will adopt it and save it from the animal cruelty that VeganCats.com is trying to make money off of.
Update: Vegancats.com now is stating they have changed their mind and cats should be 25% meat eaters... Sorry, while we liked that they came around, cats are not 25% of anything, they are 100% meat eaters... End of story.
