It's all about having fun with these kids! Human or elephant it doesn't matter, they take no responsibility, we'll son life isn't about fun and games... But it should be.
Elephants have an incredibly lighthearted, playful and like all kids, they can make the most boring tasks fun.
Play does have a lot of merit, it develops their young bodies and even horsing around they gain necessary survival skills and reflexes.
This video was filmed at the Elephant Nature Park, which is a rescue and rehabilitation center in Northern Thailand that is devoted to saving elephants in need.
When the staff at Elephant Nature Park was repairing the Tree Leaf roof over their Skywalk, they stored pieces of it on the ground below.
Little did they know a baby elephant named Dok Rak a resident at the facility would stumble upon the stash of straw and proceed to have a ball playing with it!
Younger elephants like baby Dok Rak are known to play the most, but just like us, they each play in different ways and retain a sense of humor into their old age.
These beautiful, intelligent, and emotionally complex creatures are more like us than we think, we only wish more people saw them for what they are.
If they could grasp that Elephants are intelligent beings who deserve our respect not abuse, then maybe we would not be killing 96 of them each and every day.
